Short shift kit for M47
Hi All,
I've got a 2006 E90 with a M47 engine. I love the car (my first non hatch, yay!) however the gearbox feel is shite. I've driven a few on test drives and it seems they are all like this. Very long throw and not fantastic feel. I plan to change the gearbox oil. I've seen plenty of threads on the short shift kits that are available to negate this, but none of the ones I have seen have the 320d listed as a compatible version. Question is;- Do they all use the same gear selecting mechanism across all e90 gearboxes? Or is there a specific one for the M47 e90s and is there a short shift kit available? Cheers! |

Check realOEM. I think the MSport spec had a shorter throw.

Love the OEM SSK in my N52, not too short, just how the car should have come from factory.
