Leather interior trim wrap?

Has anyone done a leather interior trim wrap? I was thinking of doing like a red leather trim wrap and seeing how it looked

The problem with this is leather may be too thick. The trim pieces may not fit back in place well once it is wrapped.

I've done it, only on the center console. It was hard finding leather thin enough to do it (dedicated car leather is much too thick) and once I did it browned over time in the sunlight even with leather care. I removed it and rewrapped it with alcantara not long ago.

A few people have done it with the OEM leatherette and had good results. Search around for it.

Got any pictures of your alcantara job? I've been thinking about doing this myself.
