This can cause glazing issue (due to local overheating) or a mushy pedal (as the pads deform to get full contact).

For those reasons, the best practice is always to re-install the pads at the same location.

That being said, some folks rotate the pads around to even out the wear without seeing the issues mentioned above. Note that if you want to do that, ensure you rotate the pads frequently enough as to not get too much uneven wear.
How's the new whip?

All the best
Typically a set of pads conforms to the disk / caliper of the side installed on. If you swap them around they may not work as well.

And since I know EVERYTHING about rare cars, I wouldn't get it because I'd want a rare, ahem, car. :P

I can see your passion, but the question is, once you have it would you track it without reservation, or would you make it a garage queen and scared to break it.....

Oh, I am nowhere nearly rich (or vain) enough to have "garage queens". If I were to own it, it would be right out there on the track as it's designed to be, haha.

I agree. If you drove it a few spirited times per week, the car's value will still go down very slowly to then hit some kind of floor. No way this appreciates in value, or even retains all of it. But the devaluation will be very slow.

I would track it but parts and labour could be very very expensive. In no way should it be a garage queen. That is reserved for 1960's or older Ferrari, Porsches, Jaguar etc.

The Lancia Delta Integrale was one of my childhood dream cars.

Me too. This is exactly why I almost fell over when I saw this up for sale.

Of course, I literally fell over when the guy posted a pic of his garage in the thread a bit later on, and he has THREE of these up in Quebec City.

I just want to go over there and STALK him. Or befriend him so I could drive one. Or something.

Then as Tony mentioned replacement parts might be expensive, plus a cage might be required. Wouldn't trust the crash worthiness of cars of that era.

Quite good actually.

It proved itself an excellent GT for our family of 4 on a 4 week, 5000km road-trip across Europe.

It is very different than the E92. I can't wait to wring it out at the track. For now, I am just hoping I'll get it on time for the last LCMT events. See pics in my garage (click on "2015 BMW M4" under my avatar).

Damn. That looks spectacular. Nice car! Double nice on the European delivery.

Incidentally. Both my Mini and my Golf R are possibly going up for sale. Anybody looking? I'd prefer to sell them modified as is, since people here know I take good care of my cars, but I'll de-mod if needed.

Nice! Enjoy. I hear it's a torque monster and apparently the quoted performance figures are actually at the wheel, not at the crank

No ... possibly moving away for a few years. Considering storing the Mini, but probably not a smart idea.

Hey guys, want to upgrade the DME on my N55. Dealers in Ottawa don't want to do it unecessarily or want me to upgrade all the modules, any garage/dealer I can get this done in Montreal without too much hassle?

Really appreciate your help.
