Garage List
Double check the wires into the DISA valves and pony up for the better gas. I always thought that once you tune the engine you weren't able to safely run lower octane gas. When I rebuilt my 3SIM I missed a wire and it made all the difference. The power delivery looked very similar to your power curve.

Guys I ended up fixing the DISA issue a few weeks ago. I was cleaning out my air filter and I decided to look around the engine bay. The little connector that goes into the first DISA valve was not plugged in properly - it was turned the other way and it never "clicked".

I turned it around and clicked it in, praying that this would be the fix.

Get in the car, start it up with no problems, warm it up and take it out.

Instant change in performance and responsiveness.

I need a week or so. It's been hectic trying to line everything up.

I'll make sure that there's a new dyno showing the "Before" and the TRUE "After". I'll also update the YouTube video.

Ok guys, this is done now. I took the car to the dyno about a half a month ago but I was waiting for them to send me the dyno files so I can do some high res screenshots etc and make the YouTube video. It's done now.

The car with the fixed DISA + 91 octane made just short of 40 RWHP extra on the stock motor. When it's especially cold outside and the car is nice and warmed up, my god it's got some balls.

New Youtube video:

Since you have a stick shift, I really expected you to get few more hp out of it. When was the last time you changed plugs? If more than 40k, change them. Also, clean your vanos solenoids. (Don’t yield extra hp, but helps engine perform better).

The plugs were done like 35-40K ago and the VANOS solenoids I cleaned about 7 months ago or so.

What company do you recommend for everything done short of the MILVS? AA have higher Whp and torque figures on their website than BPC. But they are different dynos.

AA doesn't even do a MILVS tune.

I probably won't do MILVS. But I guess the consensus is bpc.
