Which Spark plugs to use

I think it's time to change my spark plugs but which ones would be best to use

Spark Plug - Bosch ZR5TPP3
or
Spark Plug - OEM BMW

I'm not a fan of bosch, but there doesn't seem to be much else we can use on your beemer. When ever i used bosch spark plugs in my previous e46 it ran horrible compared to when i used NGK spark plugs

While i'm at it which oil would be better to use

Castrol Syntec European Formula SAE 0W-30 ( which is almost impossible to find in canada)

Mobil 1 SAE 0W-40

Liqui Moly 5W-30

aren't the oem plugs just bosch plug with the bmw symbol painted on them, Because on the e46 series, the bmw rep for western canada told me they were just bosch plugs painted with the beemer symbol. lol and the oems cost 4 times as much as what i could get the bosch plugs for.

any LL-01 oil it is then

Hi,
i am the tech manager at Autolite spark plugs. I recommend using our XP Iridium spark plugs, your car will run great with them. I am willing to send you a set for free (they retail at 7.29 each) if you will post your results in this forum. I am very confident you will love these plugs.

Well i'm assuming you would want diagnostic results, and compression and all that good stuff. So how do i get my hands on these spark plugs.

What results would he post? O-60 time? MPG? Emissions? Seat-of-the-pants opinion?

What could a regular owner of a BMW (without access to special test equipment) measure to determine the Autolite plugs make his car run better than the OEM plugs?

Yes, Bosch plugs work just fine. Just installed them on my son's e90. Just torque them to specs (23 Nm if I remember right) and when you put the microfilter back- make sure it is seated and sealed well. Also, make sure the coil on top is put back correctly.

Proud to announce that motorking is a real, live person that came through. I just received the XP Iridium plugs today, and they look very well built. I will install them this weekend and post my results. I have 73xxx miles currently on stock plugs. For now here are some photos.

We will be releasing a plug for the N54 in 2012. Had to wait till the volume warranted production.

Call BMW NA and file a compliant against that dealer. They will bring some heat to bear on that dealer after they've gotten a few.
