1/8 mile speeds are low, you are losing what ever it is before you are half way down the track. +23mph on the back half is not that bad.

You Email logs .csv file to Terry

Hum expected 60', but relatively slow time and trap.

Are you sure the cars tune is working? how did it feel going to the track? traction control off?

Short answer, It's an affordable good looking car that takes easily to modifications. It does handle well, but as others have pointed out is notorious for limp mode at raceways.

I also have a firebird that I need to get back into commission to truly satisfy my drag racing desires.

Why did you get a 335i?

Try a e30-e40 Mix of ethanol. On map 5.

I dont know why you used map 7 at the track. You dont have the octane to run it.

use this http://www.intercepteft.com/calc.html to determine/estimate your octane rating.

Unless your running a 60/40 mix(e85/93) try not to use map 7.

BMW's are not engineered or geared for the drag strip. They are designed to go around corners. Who cares of you can hit 120MPH in a 1/4 if you can't stop it or turn at that speed. On top of that, a great handling and braking car is safer on the road.

How does any of what you say relate to my post? I mention upgraded turbos and seeing how much performance these mods add. You can go out and measure 100-0 and how many G's you pull in corners, I just like seeing data that shows a change from stock.

Mod your car how you see fit or keep it stock, I don't care.

3 posts in and he's preaching about how BMWs are engineered... and it was a goofy-ass, drinking the kool-aid comment anyway. It reminds me of all those fools who follow BMW on G+ and respond with "give me one" in every thread.

I swear there is one in every village.

Agreed.

Unfortunately this forum has a lot of that... you get all these people saying BMW's are meant for raceways with turns and not drag strips.

My response is great, glad you feel that way, post up some lap results... bet it would be met with excuses about why they don't go to those events or have lap times.
