Windshield Wiper Fluid Warning Light during Auto-X
So for each of the two auto-cross events I've gone to now, during maybe my second or third lap I get the windshield wiper fluid warning light. While at home, I can pour down 1/2 to 1 whole gallon of fluid into the fill tank without even seeing the level in the tube. None appears to be leaking out in to the garage, but it must be going somewhere during "extreme" driving.
Has anyone else run into a similar situation? The fluid stays put under normal conditions, since I can use it whenever I need to, and the light doesn't come on until I put down some hot laps. |

Mine does this same thing! Only it's my methanol injection pump that empties the damn reservoir when I get on the boost.
For real though: Take out your passenger side fender liner and check for cracks in the tank. It gets brittle over time. |

I had that at my last track day 3 weeks ago. And had filled it prior to the day (expecting rain). No leaks evident at my place either.
Maybe the sensor is placed somewhere that gets deprived of cover during long radius corners or something? I find the reservoir empties very quickly in regular use as well though, especially with the headlight washers. |
