Just pulled a couple codes

I've had this 09 328i for a while now and I'm only pulling two codes one in the transmission ecu code "0054C6" which after research means to replace the transfer case oil. And code "006050" in the tire pressure control ecu. I recently ran over a dead deer on the passenger side and got the TPM Malfunction message immediately in the idrive system, I'm thinking the impact broke the sensor in a wheel or something I'm not sure

New tool to learn how to use (IF your scan tool does NOT give Fault Code Definitions or details). BMW Fault Code Lookup:
http://www.bmwfault.codes/

Entering "6050" in the "Enter fault code" Searchbox yields:

6050 | RDC: RDC transmitter, front right | rdc_60 | Tyre pressure control

That is NOT to be confused with the Pressure Sensor located inside the tire, attached to the valve stem on the inner wheel rim.

Here is the TIS circuit diagram for your 2009 328i E90 TPMS with the RDC Module in the trunk, and it shows the wiring for the Right-Front Transmitter (B47a); the "Installation Location" of B47a is also linked below:
https://www.newtis.info/tisv2/a/en/e...r-rdc/H2DAPopj
https://www.newtis.info/tisv2/a/en/e90-328i-lim/RwAnXCk

Procedure for replacing Front RDC Transmitter:
https://www.newtis.info/tisv2/a/en/e...s-rims/Otw2PJj

I would check & test the wiring and connector carefully as that may be the area of fault rather than the Transmitter itself. If a new part is needed, here is an example:
https://www.getbmwparts.com/oem-part...er-36236781846

BTW, the Fault Code 54C6 is indeed Oil Wear Fault, Transfer Case. IF you have a Transfer case, you do NOT have a 328i (RWD ;-) That fault was saved in your Transfer Case Module, VGSG as opposed to the Transmission. If you have the GM6 Automatic, that is EGS or GS1912, and you MAY have a similar Oil Wear Fault in EGS Memory: 578E

If you have never changed the Transfer Case Fluid before, post back here with a new thread, as there are some tricks and probably new tools (cheap) you need to have on hand, plus "getbmwparts.com" above is cheapest place for correct fluid. Same for transmission if you need to change fluid & filter, let us know, as that ALSO has some tricks.

Please let us know what you find,
George
