Lease trade ins?
I have read in many places that there are possibilities of trading in your car lease back to the dealership in exchange for a different lease for a different car of the same mark.
For example...i have a 2006 325i and now its 2007 and i want to get a 335. Is it possible to go back to the same dealership i got the 325i at and exchange leases early for the 335? anyone have any experience in this? my car was leased from open road bmw in central new jersey. |

of course you can.
You will be paying a BIG negative though. It's not for free my friend. Lets say ure payoff is 30k. The value of the bmw is 25k. You will need to come up with 5k before you can get another lease. The dealer will happily apply those 5k ontop of your other lease= higher payments. If you really have to get a new bmw go ahead. Try to take the car out with no down. I always take cars out with no down payment. |

It is a simple formula.
There is a payoff amount for the lease based on your deal which you can get from BMWFS. There is the current MMR (Manhiem wholesale value) for the car. If you are returning a leased car early you pay the difference between what you owe (payoff) and what the car is worth (MMR). Then you are free to do whatever you want. Many dealers will roll in the negative equity intoa new lease for you. |
