Once you resolve this, assuming it's not your intake valves gunked up, you should get those cleaned anyway. You'll likely gain gobs of throttle response, gas mileage and 10+HP. At the mileage you have they should have been cleaned almost twice now.
Only code I am throwing is P29D1 - Misfire Cylinder 5

Code P29F3 is the fuel pressure sensor electric and has been there ever since I bought the car 16,000 miles ago.

I will say I just had the first walnut blast done on my car at 81,500 miles, car is not tuned. It runs better, but the techs at the dealer were experiencing a misfire which lead them to swap a coil and change a plug on cylinder 2. If you are tuned I would suggest getting a walnut blast done, if your dealer is cool see if they can cover it, I got mine paid for by CPO/Maintenance plan. I am planning to do water pump, t-stat, all 5 remaining coils/plugs when it goes back for service the next time as preventative measures.

Had the same issue for over a year.

- Changed plugs (twice)

- Injectors ( all 6 to the new ones)

Still misfire on cylinder 5

Brought the car in for intake valve cleaning, dealer said cylinder 1,2,3,4 were clean 5 and 6 were dirty.

Since then no more misfire, car runs perfect.

I had 100,000km at the time.

Sorry to bump old topic but the symptons etc. in OP post is similar to mine.

Situation: 2008 335i E93 about 35k miles. Tuned first Procede now MHD flasher. Also downpipes changed etc. smaller engine tunes.

Now i've have had some misfire issues and summer 2018 those started. First it was long cranks and after some time misfires started happening. First, if my memory serves me right, misfire did happen in cylinder 6. After that I changed oil, plugs (all), battery and coil in cyl 6. It went away but after sometime cylinder 5 started to misfire.

I changed coil in cyl 5 in christmas eve and the misfire went away but occasionally there was slightly longer crank.

Now the misfire (code 0029D1) is happening again in cyl5 and I took the coil and plug from cyl 5 (after car had standed still 24h) and both smell gas and the plug is dirty.

I also did the same from cyl 1 and 2 and no gas smell were present.

So, the question is what is my problem and how to fix it? Is it injector issue or something else?

My car is an 09 E90 N54 build and was wondering if there are any recalls or notifications from BMWNA regarding replacement. My car has no warranty given it has 63K on the clock.

Last year in May/June, I had to replace all my index 1 injectors, which had 150,000 miles on them. I got a cylinder 5 code. The plugs only had 20k on them & coils only had 50k on them. At any rate, replaced all with index 12 and problem solved.

Not much left to cause a misfire besides fuel injector and compression issue on that cylinder, don't you think?

I recently came across a similar issue with my car - 2006 BMW 330i with 415,500 Km - Code: Misfire on cylinder 5
The spark plugs were recently changed and solenoid valves cleaned. Upon further inspection, cylinder 5 ignition coil was split/torn at the base. Installed a spare new one and car was back to normal again.

Cheers.
