True but given that it's still in phase 1 beta tests and it sounds like that engine is knocking I think the vtt shotgun double barrel might be the better option rn
I have experience with both setups.

both are currently running on e85 as well.

for the overdrive pump - the noise I hear on start up only then goes away.

Vargas shotgun - also has noise on start up due to shotgun barrel is resting on the power steering banjo bolt. need to take a look to see if any clocking can be done but I doubt it.

Jeef appreciate the feedback lots more to consider now. As far as the noise for HOD in that video, the metal noise clanking sound was loud and it has be even louder in person.

The difference between the 2 options at this point may just come down ease of installation. Did you do the micron filter for the HOD setup? And what's the gain on using it? I saw a video of the installation of the micron filter and that didn't look fun.

The installation of the helix unit is definitely going to be a lot easier.

No inline fuel filter was used. The hpfp inlet filter is removed as well. This guy is still running stock fuel lines with his helix unit and a bucketed dual 450 in the tank.

you can run it for extra filtration, I would run one if I got rid of the stock fuel filter/regulator assembly and upgraded the lines from tank to hpfp.

Yeah but it's for 10 minutes on start up?

That would be a bummer because I can get to work in 15.

I never said 10 minutes... I'll check again for you and report back.

it goes away pretty quickly in my opinion.

Update: started the timer when the car started and stopped the timer at 1:07.

Someone else mentioned 10 mins on a cold start up and sometimes a few mins on semi cold startups. 1 min is much more tolerable. Thank you for the update.

Might have missed this, but are you timing this with stock cold start settings in place? Or do you have MHD with the cold start noise reduction option enabled, etc.?
