Secondary Cat delete question
My 335's mods include the BMS Dual Cone intake filters, UR Catless Downpipes, STETT intercooler, Forge DVs, and a few other things. The set up is very much free-flowing, except that I have left my stock exhaust untouched. The reason is I couldnt take the dreaded droning inside the cabin.
The current setup has served me well but I am feeling that the secondary cat may be something I would like to remove as well so that the entire system is free flowing from start to end. If I were to get rid of the sec cat leaving the rest of the stock exhaust intact(cross-pipe, stock mufflers), will this cause droning? I am fine if the exhaust becomes louder as long as it doesnt drone as in type most of us experience around the 2,000rpm level in straigt through aftermarket exhaust. |

I have Catless Dps and Bastuck Quad Axle back with no droning at all. I kept the secondary cat because of environment issues. The sound is amazing and you surely do not need to remove the middle part for very little gain .
