catasrophic fuel pump failure?
So yesterday morning I had the car stuttering a lot when I started and 3 times in a row i got the half engine light. I eventually got it started ok and drove a lil yesterday. Fast forward to this morning and the car is stuttering even more automatic half engine light and tons of smoke coming out of the exhaust and the smell of fuel......is this what its like when its REALLY about to croak? Flatbed is on the way

Smoking, and strong fuel smell? Might also be an injector problem.
