is it good and same as others?
I know few members have bought some from ebay and end up having issue during wrapping. The material was too thick that couldn't wrapped around the corners. The ashtray lip wouldn't open and close properly. Why rick yourself with ebay seller meanwhile you can get them here with e90post vendors? Yea it maybe cost few bucks more when you compare with ebay, but at least you know the fabric will work and vendors got to pay vendor fees...

Soni, I followed your DIY and my car turned out great. Being a perfectionist I will be redoing a couple of areas but overall the car looks so much better than the woodgrain that reminded me of grandmas car. I used the 3M 77 adhesive but due to the heat here in AZ I will likely redo most of my car in the 3m 90 that has much better heat resistance. The project as a whole is very easy if you take your time. The toughest part for me was figuring out how to remove the ashtray lid.

Thanks for posting this thread. The DIY section of this site is my favorite place to explore.

Tom, more important is to get all the air out after you apply the fabric.

Thanks. It is holding up very well to 108 degree days so I think it will be fine in the long run. The toughest part for me was just taking off the darn ashtray door.

I would get 2 just in case, if at the end you got some extra fabric, either sell it locally or look around to find things that you can wrap with

here are some pics of what you can do with REAL carbon fiber
well, because alot of people, like myself hate the glossy look with the authentic carbon fiber interior trim.

Carbon fibers purpose to save weight, and putting the real thing on small stuff like interior trim is a mockery and waste of its real purpose. It belongs on parts like roof panels and trunks/bonnets.

the carbon fiber fabric looks much better with a matte look and looks and feels better in some peoples opinion. some people like the glossy scene and thats cool too. but dont get carried away, were talking about interior trim, not riced out carbon fiber trimmed exterior body panels on a pontiac. so go ahead, sit back, and keep laughing.

there is also another advantage on the CF fabric wrap is you can reverse back to OEM look. For someone like me, I lease my car cuz I like to change car every 3-4 years, at the same time I like modding the hell out of it during the 3-4 years time. When I finished, I just rip fabric off and give the car back to dealer...all I got to lose is the fabric money and a can of spray adhesive.
And for your reference, vendors in this board have sold over 5000 yards so far, so I think you are laughing at many people here.
