I can bet that he doesn't even know the difference between the E9x cars. He probably thinks that E90 is BMWs designation for the ENTIRE 3-series. I probably figured that he'd sound more official by saying E90 instead of 335i coupe/sedan(etc).

Total BS trollish or ignorant statement... ASR has upgraded turbos making 520+ whp, and others not far behind on completing their upgraded turbo projects... The reason why it is taking a long time is tuning direct injection, lack of space in engine bay, and the lack of hardware fueling upgrades... New technology such as direct injection takes a lot of R&D to produce parts for each vehicle, and most people will wait till after warranty expires so the companies won't make their return on investment for many years...

I just created an account on LS1gto. I will just pm him and get him to provide some pics of these engine failures.

Wow.
Yah, we hear about a lot of blown N54 engines.
If there would have been these issues, we would have heard it here.

We have the fuel pumps and wastegates to deal with instead of believing this crap.

Yeah what he said makes a whole lot of sense across the board. Especially the part about most of the failures being attributed to the tune that is the most conservative in terms of its boost adjustment.

Yeah, if any tune would blow engines up, it would be a Procede v2 with its uncontrolled boost spikes and overboosting. I haven't heard any Dinan cars failing catastrophically except that one track car...

Don't want to start any cross forum BS. Maybe I should have not started the thread?
