Rubbing on the oil cooler vent

Hey guys, so I just installed my new wheels today and I noticed I'm rubbing when I turn left at low speeds. I narrowed it down to the tire rubbing on the oil cooler vent. Now back when I had the jetta, I messed up the fender liner and my tires ended up rubbing through the liner. I dont want the same thing to happen again, especially with the oil cooler vent.

now my question is: did anyone ever run into this issue and if so, what did you do to resolve it? My only guess would be to find a way to pin the fender liner closer to the bumper, getting it farther away from the tire but I'm not really positive how to do that.. without getting too ghetto with the fix lol. Or my other idea is that maybe the fender liner isn't attached properly because i did notice it is kinda loose. I'm not the original owner so I dont know what the PO did, if anything to it.

It happened to me when my car was too low. Once I rasied the car 1/4 in, it was fine. But check the wheel fender liner to see if on correctly.

Old thread but i am having the exact same problem.
Have you had any issues with the oil cooler after pulling off the vent ?

I am running 235/35 tires, 8x19 ET 37 with 12mm spacers and tires rub on the oil cooler vent. (Also on the additional water cooler vent at drivers side)

Car sits about 1.5cm lower than M Sport after installing BMW Performance Suspension.

I don't want to go back to 225/35 tires , pulling off the vents seem to be the simplest solution. Would that cause any issues ?

Going in my 2nd summer and never had an issue while being ventless. I also haven't tracked the car so I'm not sure if there would be an impact as a result.
