Oil service at 26000km changed to 19000km!!

Hello,

I noticed at the first time I bought the car, the oil service appeared at 26000km. After putting 11000km on the car, the oil service number changed to 19000!!

Is this normal?

Thanks in advance for the input.

You mean ist shows 19,000 on the dash at the moment ?

That means it has 19,000 left before the service is due

Hello,

I was told by an engineer that the first oil change is to be made at 26000km.

During my driving, I have passed 4K, 5K, and up to 9K, and I saw the number was steady at 26000 km. Recently, I have reached 11K and noticed that the oil service number changed to 19000Km. (If 19000 is the remaining distance before servicing, do you think 19000 + 11000 = 30000 km is a reasonable km for the first oil change? May be, the e90 is feeded with fully synthetic oil though)

The engineer might have given me the wrong information. The car was so new at that time. The engineer did not even know that e90 has no oil stick measurement!!

Anyway, I will check the URL given. Thanks.

Don't quote me on this but I think it depends on how you drive the vehicle. I usually go in before the "manual" required time as well. Of course they will not service the car until you are exceedingly close or above the number.

I have 3,500kms on my car and the service indicator says I have 31,000km to go... that's 34,500 kms to the 1st service...

When I got the car it started @ 30,000kms so it's going up.
So I think you case is not unusual at all.
