No Aux, No Usb, No Bluetooth, No Update ...
Bmw 325d 2011 with idrive cic and combox
The aux doesnt play music neither does the usb on a stick.(both in the armrest) The usb charges though. The bluetooth just says please wait and doesnt change from that screen. Have tried to update but the idrive says that there is no previous software version and it reads no usb in the armrest usb slot to update it. I have formatted the usb and got the correct file on it. Ive reset the idrive by holding the mute for 30 secs. I have also checked the combox connections. The fuses have been quickly checked but i wasnt entirely sure which ones to check. Someone please help... this is a minor issue but flicking between radio 1 and the 3 different heart stations is getting a bit tedious! |

Have you tried diagnostics.
I would see if you can run diags on the car an or if you can talk to it. If you tried to change the software on the head unit maybe it was not included in the update. I would go to the connected idrive sub forum to see if they have any answers. https://www.e90post.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=122 not repairable I would guess but software could be and issue to . Did you check the combox fuse. Be sure and include a history of how this came about or is this car new to you? https://f10.5post.com/forums/attachm...9&d=1291578641 Last edited by ctuna; 09-25-2018 at 01:32 PM.. |

do your car e93 ? cabrio ?
if yes, look for combox in trunk, pictures of the module you can find in google they are often damaged by water leaked thru cabrio roof due rubber wear

I had this exact same issue, it was a break in the MOST loop. For me it was an antenna under the driver side footwell. As soon as I plugged it back in, it was like magic when everything started to work again. Normally there is a code for "break in the MOST loop" but for whatever reason it wasn't throwing it for me. I no longer have it, but try and find a diagram showing all the points of the loop and go through one by one to see if they're okay.

this may be cd-changer preparation , it is usually not in MOST loop unless you have cd-changer in your options list

I am having the exact same issue here with a 2012 BMW 328i E93 hardtop convertible with CIC/combox and am looking for a little more clarification on how to proceed. The local BMW dealer diagnosed the problem as a fault with the combox with a good fuse check. Because the fuse checked good, my next thought was to unplug the combox and let it sit for a while before plugging it back in and trying to reconnect to it via bluetooth. However, the combox is halfway under the rear seat/trunk panel. I have not been able to find a guide on how to remove the panel to get access to the other side of the combox to try and unplug it. I've tried putting the back seat down and taking out the rear right seat to get to it but both do not open the portion where the combox is located. Looking for any advice on how to unplug the combox or reset it via NCS expert as mentioned here. Thanks! |

First picture might give you a hint. You use to be able to get install and removal procedures on the tis now you have to have Ista D or Ista + to get the same stuff. |
