Hi fellow canadian bimmers;

I have a question for you. I have done multiple searches and CANT find my answer.

I have a Pre-LCI E90 non-idrive and just bought the DAEOS kit to make my angel eyes work as DRL; BUT the thing is that the DRL are still working with my angel eyes. So my mod is working, but I'm trying to find how to turn my DRL off.

In the DAEOS kit it says to turn them off by the system; but the owners manual I got is for Idrive and I dont have it. Even in the Idrive manual; they dont even tell you how to do it.

I think you can turn it off by going into the maintenance settings and look for the sun symbol and select off

you can't turn it off since you have a Canadian Spec car, DRL is required by the law,
you prob need to get your DRL disabled by an aftermarket shop

Would it be possible to remove the bulbs and add resistors? Electrical newbie here.

I saw that its possible, but I first thought that this should be a feature that could be disabled a little more "user friendly".

I understand the concern about pre-lci angel eyes that are not strong enough to operate on their own as DRL, but I upgraded them so they would be strong enough as we speak.

I guess i'm gonna have to put that on my to-do list when i go out for my tune then.
