Service light not resetting

Hi guys,

Having a problem with my service oil light not resetting, would the oil level sensor not working cause this to happen or would it be down me getting the battery discharge rate high error on the dash?

If you have a car that has has had 29 oil changes or reset
the service 29 times the
reminder stops working after that number because the idiots
at BMW used a down counter in there software.
