Airbag recall question
1. NHTSA report Part 573 safety recall report 16V-071 reported that 2006-2011 BMW 3 series Sedan 325i 325xi etc is in the campaign of the airbag recall. The owner will receive notice, but I never received it.
2. Do you have a 2006 BMW E90 325i that has not received Airbag recall notice from BMW, and check VIN that you don't have an Airbag problem? |

I have an 06’ E90 325xi, only recall I have is for the blower motor wiring. I was thinking the same thing since I never got a letter regarding the airbag recall. I remember when I went for an oil change at the dealer, I was told that you’d receive a letter around fall or winter since I’m in Chicago we would receive the notice later on. Oh well, maybe we’re the lucky ones?

US 06 325xi owner also, not included in recall, didn't receive recall. It may be combination of build date and steering wheel type, just guessing. I have standard steering wheel, not sports.

Only E90 with Sport/M-sport steering wheel airbag were recalled. Regular steering wheel airbag not recalled.

Sorry to bring up an old thread. But I have a sport steering wheel retrofitted in my car. Will they cover it? Or since my vin will show the standard airbag am I shit of of luck?
