Car purchase thoughts.

So while the 335D is getting fixed, I've decided to sell my f350 diesel truck.
After its sold, I'm thinking of trading in the 335D and possibly getting a 2011 x5d since I wont have a truck anymore. The problem is my commute is 120 miles roundtrip. Does this make sense? Keep the sedan? any input?

Surprisingly, the X5d MPG on the highway is not bad at all, probably get 26+.

I thought about going the same route as you, sell my Benz truck and 335d for X5d. However, I like the 335d too much to give it up for anything else at the moment.

It would depend on how your body repair comes out. If you have no noises or creaks or anything else that would irritate you, perhaps keep the 335D. If you want to go to X5D for less carbon issues, this is independent of car getting wrecked.

Good luck with the repairs coming out good.

Like what 135i_vs_ said, the mpg on the X5d isn't too shabby. I bet you the better seats and more legroom help ease the pain of the long commute. Road comfort would have to be better compared to the 335d I'm assuming due to the higher suspension. If you can find a good deal out there, I say go for it!

Ya so they got a nice 2011 in red that's got like all the options with 40k miles for 40k dollars, lol. That's the one i'm interested in.. plus I can get ecotune on it like i did on the sedan... that would be badass
