Tbh, she is border line needing to go into a home, but as always, it's never that clear cut or easy.

I'm going to pop a bloody pill if I ever get to that stage. Degrading tbh.
If she can wipe her own arse then she's fine.

You have my sympathy, my dear old Ma passed away earlier this year aged 93. My old queen kept putting off having her put in a home and it ended up ruling and ruining her life 24/7.

The sad fact is we are living too long these days, I hope I have enough about me to know when I am passed it.

Sorry to hear that Will, and Steve has said the same thing about his Mum.....we are all living too long these days. People may think that sounds cruel or negative whatever, but watching someone you love suffer in effect is not nice.

I think the world of her but her quality of life is suffering and she is alone alot of the day. She is a 'people person' and would benefit in many ways being in a home. She has done extremely well upto now and is a fighter, no doubts there! Never easy.

Clearly very old, and if anyone works it out I will hate them for eva & eva
3650 days = 10 years
131,400 hours = 5475 days = 15 years
78,840,000 seconds = 913 days = 2 years (and about six months)

Total = 27 years

You're young!

Blimey....this thread has developed in so many ways, in so little time!!!

Another vote here for Volvo S60's - best seats and stereos in the business (as standard) and amazing level of equipment for the money...unlike BMW!!!

Just to complete my picture, wife (3 years younger), 2 kids (14 and 9), a West Highland Terrier (Scruffy), a Touareg and an Elise......oh and an expanding house that is swallowing cash!!

If Skansa is telling the truth, I am the third oldest who has posted here and since I am going to be coy, that's all you're getting

The one consolation (to age that is) is that I don't owe a penny to anyone for anything. Just as well really since I don't have a job at the moment and have been an early victim of this recession. Rainy day money really does come in handy

Typical canny Scot eh Alan

Sorry to hear you've been a 'victim' of this most recent crap in the economy.

If I meet you at the mini-meet, I may be able to work out your age then perhaps.

It might be difficult! When I was 21, most people assumed I was around 28. This is great when you aren't close to it and this went on for a number of years.
Unfortunately, I thought it would stay that way and even passing 40 I thought I was 28.

Now at the advanced age of *$ I only feel like I'm 28 but absolutely no amount of persuasion appears to convince anybody else
