Turbo gas temprature
I would like to know if the turbo gas temperature is regulated or does it just cool down in the intercooler? My engine seems to run too hot. I replaced the thermostat but its still the same. Is the cooling system supposed to be under high pressure because I used to drive it and open the cooler bottle but now its to hot to open. The new thermostat is also leaking. I think its because the pressure is too high in the cooling system.

I'm sorry, but your post doesn't make a lot of sense.
The turbo exhaust goes out the tailpipes; it doesn't go through the intercooler. The intake air charge that is compressed by the turbo's compressor goes through the intercooler. The water temperature in these cars is electronically regulated; changing the thermostat doesn't do anything (unless it was broken.) The engine computer runs the temperature hot to gain thermal efficiency. All automobile cooling systems are pressurized. If you have an EGR, it's cooled by the water, but the radiator is sized to accomodate that. |

The coolant temperature in my car normally runs 190F-200F. During regeneration it gets up to 205F.
EGT varies depending on how you drive and what speed/RPM you are using. 380F-630F, and 1170F during regeneration. |

the system is supposed to be under pressure when hot, if you were driving it and then opening the bottle (why would you do that anyway?) you might have caused it to get low on coolant and now its overheating.
The boosted air, which is what goes through the intercooler, is "regulated" by the intercooler and measured by a temperature sensor. I dont think anybody has experience with it but it seems possible that if the air temp is very high the engine will go to limp mode and slow you down. As far as I know this has not happened to anyone yet who has posted about it. If you have that problem you probably have a turbo that is toast. Since you have been opening the coolant bottle and now have replaced the thermostat you may have air in the system, which would cause it to overheat. The normal method for getting air out would be to run the car pointed uphill while on a slight hill with the radiator cap off, or whatever the highest point that can be opened is, and just run it until it stops bubbling, then make sure its full |

If my egr is not working properly that would explain the increase in temperature. If the gas don't get back into the engine the gasses are too rich and creates a higher temperature when it burns? What can cause the egr not to work properly?

Did I miss something in one of your posts, where exactly did you arrive at the determination that the engine is running "too hot"?
What is you engine coolant temperature during normal driving conditions? What is the oil temperature during normal driving? You may need to buy a scanner or scan software for a laptop that receives live data, if you don't already have one. Hook up the scan tool and look at the readings then compare them to the factory specified range.

When im driving. Its not a lot I wipe the bottle clean with a cloth and when I open the bonnet again after driving a while you can see the marks on the bottle and the level of the coolant is lower. It uses about half a litre on 1000km. Its not a lot but its not like it should be.
