Blown turbos

My turbos are toast so I'm looking at replacement options. Anyone have any experience with these from ECS tuning?

You can get the RB Two’s for about the same price. They are $1900 and Rob offers a $300 discount if you pay cash. I believe his “One’s” and OEM replacements are cheaper yet.

Those are Mitsubishi OEM replacements and should last as long as your original ones did. What are your goals with the car? If you want a bit more power the RB's are a great choice and have pretty much the same reliability.

Rob's replacement for stock with complete install kit came down to about 1100, after I sent my old ones back (300 core refund).
He's saying they should last longer than stock ones. I just installed them, and they are a bit quieter, but no other difference (which is good, car runs well and no more smoke).

After doing some more research I'm not convinced my turbos are bad. Blow-by seems to be pretty common on these things and its had 89k miles to fill with oil. Going to get a catch can. Also not getting any smoke from the exhaust. Going to fix my oil pan leak first and see if that resolves the oil consumption.

Absolutely; if you don't smoke, don't worry about it. EVERY turbo car I had was collecting oil in the intercooler, Audi, previous BMW 335xi, a Lexus turbo, etc.

Problem is, on a 335 xi or xdrive, to drop the oil pan, you have to drop the subframe... If you dropped the subframe, the turbo's are just there, you're looking at all the bolts...

Make sure you do both low side and high side (run 2 catch cans).

My low side catch can catches 10x as much oil as my high side.

Also consider plugging your head ports. The ideal time to do that is when you are replacing your valve cover.

To say you have no smoke in the exhaust means nothing unless your running catless dp's. I guarantee you your cats are removing the smoke in your exhaust and your turbos at that mileage could quite possibly be going....Or they could be fine...just saying.
