Frm battery question

I want to replace my FRM module on my BMW e93 LCI
I was wondering what to do about the battery?

Should I disconnect it before taking out the FRM and if yes then for how long? (I gotta send the FRM to get programmed) Should I reconnect the battery back after taking out the FRM?

I would say yes, disconnect before removing the FRM. If you connect the battery back without an FRM connected; you will get errors.

Not sure if they will clear up once you have an FRM installed. So it's better if you have a way to clear codes. If you don't need to drive the car while the FRM is out; then keep the battery disconnected.
