600 whp 328i on N52???

I just came across this dyno vid of someone making 596whp on n52.. with 19psi boost

I couldnt find a build thread here, im definitely curious what it took to achieve this because this is insane if its legit.

Hmmmm, I like the idea of that, I really want to know if this is legit. I would have guessed the block to be a weak point at this power.

Is that guy in Florida? i think he posted on here. Weak point generally the rods and pistons as BPC found out with their turbo N52. Held a lot more than I would have thought. 500+whp for quite some time.

My GM trans is only rated for like 350hp
If you ask a n54 guy a n52 cant handle 1 hp extra without it collapsing into the Nth dimension

yes its true. Digidon is the user name . This is on stock engine as far as I can remember, He has n54 transmission swap

There isnt really a weak point on the N52 , he has been running over 400 whp for a long time. That was a one time ran

He pointed out the weak point was the n52 transmission 350 whp was the max , BPC also confirmed this . But engine wise he found the N52 block can handle that type of power

BPC actually has/had a turbo kit available , the only downside was that the air conditioning unit had to be removed , so this kit was " available" if someone really wanted to buy it . Digidon's turbo set up keeps the air conditioning unit , but his kit is not for sale , he owns a shop and he does all the work on his car ....

I love the N52, but I don't understand why people turbo them. You can find an N54 car for not that much more that already has a turbo out of the box and stronger internals. Building an N54 to make that power would be cheaper and much more reliable than some pieced together kit for an N52.

To be unique? And some just prefer the n52 because of the port injection, weight balance, engineering quirks, etc. Why upgrade a n54 when you can just buy an m3? Lol

Being unique is expensive and no one knows what engine you have under your hood.

The S65 is 5x as expensive(or more) to get to 650whp. Also no one has made over 700whp iirc even with built motors. So if you are chasing numbers/records for E9X etc. the S65 is not the engine of choice. You can make 650whp on an N54 for like 6k using all off the shelf parts and tuning etc. You can get a DCT N54. Never going to make 1000whp on an S65, N54 can make that.

The N52 is a good motor just keep it as is and let it be good at what it does well.

Because an upgraded N54 is both faster and cheaper than an M3
