Anyone ever swapped xDrive into a rwd car?

I know most people usually go the other way, but i'm just curious if this has ever been done by anyone.

I'd imagine its possible just curious of possible issues. With the advent of xdelete and xhp, i'd have to assume that makes things a bit easier but im just curious.

edit; adding to first post, i'm curious because i'd love to have a 335D with awd.

I doubt anyone's ever done it. It'd be a complicated job and xdrive cars are everywhere. You'd basically need a whole xdrive donor car to pull parts from and hundreds of hours to get it right.

xdrive cars are everywhere, but I want a 335D, which was never available in awd.

So, thats why im curious. I know it would complicated. But if I had both cars next to each other, I can't imagine impossible.

The non-xDrive cars have substantial differences.
1) Different front suspension and carrier (that has different everything) to support the front axles.
2) Different oil pan to accept the differential and axles.
3) Different steering rack and assembly

It's basically not possible unless you have a donor car. Even then...

I didn't think about the oil pan, shit. With a different engine in the diesel I doubt i'd be able to do it.

Unless the sump system in the diesel was similar enough to support an xdrive oil pan and pick up, but I honestly dont know enough about them. I know the engines are similar.

Still curious if anyone has done the swap even if what I want it probably not going to work out.

Also the transmission tunnels are different, the rwd one will be too narrow and not have the correct points to mount the awd transmission.
