They only test emissions here so you will fail, only option is swap out for stock, buy a sticker, or find a shop that'll pass you

I'm on Cobb tune stage 2 aggressive map(FBO)..did the drive cycle..You're allowed 1 monitor not ready to pass...nice to have in hand a OBD II scanner to monitor if you're ready or not...Good luck!!

I have the downpipe fix and I have to hook it up to see if the readiness codes are good.

You won’t need the down pipe fix if NJ lets you have 1 monitor showing not ready. I just went through this in NY, I initially failed since I had catalyst and evaporative showing not ready. I did the drive cycle and got the evaporative showing ready, went back to the shop and passed with only 1 monitor (catalyst) showing not ready. I have catless dps and running MHD stage 2+.
If they actually hook up a probe in the exhaust as well as plug into your OBD for a NJ inspection then you’re out of luck.

I believe in NJ you are allowed one 'not ready' but that does not include the secondary o2 readiness monitor.

I am also interested in some additional details,

I also purchased a dp fix, my next move though was to purchase a set of oem downpipes and gut the catt.

The idea behind this approach:
1. (gutted oem dp) to pass the visual during inspection
2. Dp fix - to pass the odb2 readiness sensor issue

I live in Depford, NJ and would like some info from the guys who have already been through this.

As others have said, 1 monitor not ready is still pass but others must be ready/complete (or NA). I passed catless with my old N52 in NJ/NY/CT. The only way you’d fail is if the guy actually pays attention to his screens and notices no physical cat to be and follows up with visual under hood. But for most obd2 cars it’s rare they bother doing such due diligence.

When I went a few years ago they said any check engine light on is an instant fail. Wouldn't having 1 showing not ready still throw a check engine light?

You need an MHD tune or backend flash to suppress the check engine light.

In nj, if the cat readiness is negtive, you'll fail. Sometimes they look at the video feed to physically observe the cat sometimes they dont butbthey can fail you if they cnnot observe the presence of emissions equipment.
Ultimately that cat readiness is not on the list of things they will accept as not being ready in nj.
This is why the readiness cycle exists, it gets car to the point that it can go through emissions and pass.
I won't speak for ny other state, NY, CT, PN...they all may be different.

This will cause the cat to be "not ready".

Where you live? I'm in NJ, and I'll sell you my DP fix that worked flawlessly. I just went through last month.

So after a drive cycle on Stage 2 Catless, this is what I've got.... Can I head in and pass an OBD2 inspection?

Should pass! That's all codes ready or N/A, and you're allowed one not ready anyway. Keep in mind, technically they do do visual inspection, so they could potentially "not be able to find your cats." should be fine though, most people are only looking for blatant straight pipes and don't truly know what they're looking for.

That should be fine as long as all other monitors are ready. You are allowed one not ready.

what's the update OP?

I just realized VRSF doesn't sell the downpipe fix anymore.

I guess I will have to do the drive cycle this summer for my inspection. Be great to hear what others are doing to pass the NJ inspection.

previously I had used the VRSF DP fix and worked like a charm but the shop recommended I should take it off. Unfortunately, the VRSF DP Fix wasn't mine. I should have kept it on.
