Avery Dennison Clear Bra kit - I'm Confused

Yesterday I did a search and saw some discussion on 3M Clear Bra kits but little info on Avery Dennison kits. I want to take my car to an installer who uses both but he keeps trying to talk me into the Avery Dennison. He says it shows less discoloration and cracks less. One of the posts I read on the forum yesterday hinted that prior to the new 3M III kits Avery Dennisons were much easier to install. Because of this many installers went to Avery. Does anyone have any thoughts on this? Does it really make much of a difference anyway? I'm confused.

Not sure what you mean. Do you mean that you've heard that it's generally better than 3M (cracks less, etc), or that the only benefit is ease of install?

Everything I've read prior to talking with this installer suggests 3M was better. Now he tells me the complete opposite. Mind you my knowledge of this stuff has always been limited.

I think you are quoting me when I said Avery was easier to install at first. Since 3M released their newest version of film, the ease of install has become mute. They are both nice films, but 3M has the best. Avery cost a little less, so maybe the installer is trying to make a larger profit. I was in the film business for almost 10 years, and 3M was the groundbreaker.

Check these sites out ... they all use 3M.
