Forever ago I had this issue and a re-flash at the dealership cured it. It was so irritating. They did a complete re-write, took more than a day -it was too long ago to remember the details but I vividly remember what a pain in the ass that 5E19 code was. Never had the issue again, 80k+ miles later (and many mods/tunes).

Yes sir.

I'd go into a bouncing rev, car completely unresponsive to throttle, had to do a restart. Super not fun in traffic. Very glad that's over with -drove me nuts.

Chris
I got the old DME which I now believe is probably good and just required reflashing afresh.

If any one is interested in a used DME from a 2007 335i coupe, it's up for sale!

musa, were you able to actually root cause the issue (what in the DME was failing/causing the issue) before changing the DME? Currently having the same issue ATM.

No, I didn't figure out the root cause. As Chris@VargasTurboTech pointed out in the above post #23, completely reflashing the DME may be all that's required to fix your issue - I'd try that first. I didn't verify that would have fixed my issue even though I still have the old DME. But a BMW technician advised just to replace the DME to fix the problem. That's all was done and that was the end of my issues and I never looked back, having been exhausted and releived. Car has been running great since then.

Good luck!
