I didn't receive a call, I sent a text too the sales worker who help sell me the car, he told me this:

“They're still working on it and service just closed I just caught her before she was leaving they will know something tomorrow for sure sorry about the inconvenience but they'll get it taken care of.”

So at least they are working on it, just wonder if I'm gonna get a bill.

Update: Just got a call from the Ford Dealer, he told me they are sending the car to the BMW dealer on Monday.

The world goes round.

That is a positive development. Good luck.

When I see a BMW being sold at another car brand dealership, first thing that comes to mind is that someone traded that car because it was problematic.

OP I'm a bit surprised that you jumped on this purchase considering this is a 335i and also because you mentioned in your previous thread that money was tight.

Good luck with all of it.

In my opinion, If I bought a car and within the first 30 mins it starts to throw codes, I would return that car asap. Don't want to be stuck in a money pit

Well - he did state he had $500 to his name in the last post - so, baller. I don't know about you, but if I was having problems with my 328, I know I would certainly trade it for a 335.

I'm not quite sure where logic stands with OP.

328i needs repair. Money is tight, ok I get it, shit happens in life.

Gets a loan and buys a 335i known to be way more problematic than the 328i. I'm not sure priorities lie in order here, but this will be a hard learned lesson for OP.

I truly wish him all the best.

LOL - I hope you know I was being quite sarcastic in my post.

But yes, I was insinuating the exact same thing as you posted and I agree completely.

Eh yes and no, it's at least better than buying one from a used car lot that bought it from an auction house. I bought my 335i from a Nissan dealer with 39k on the clock and it's been very solid for the year I've owned it so far. In OP's case at least it's a reputable dealer that cares about their reputation so they're not leaving them out to dry on it.

If I had 500 dollars to my name I sure as hell wouldn't be driving any BMW.

Honda Civic or something.

I bought my 335i from a Kia dealership... Blew the charge pipe the first time I full throttled it lol. Replaced it in the driveway, no big deal. But I was really scared that I just bought myself into a problematic car. Took the car to BMW for recalls and found out it had CPO for another full year soo... Sometimes you can get lucky buying one from another dealership lol. I haven't had any other major failures like that since the day I bought it so I count myself lucky.

But if I just bought it, and it immediately started throwing more serious codes like VANOS faults, I would be taking it right back to wherever I bought it. Save yourself the headache now and just find another one.

All jokes aside, I was financially sound before, I had no problems spending money on my BMW.
I actually spent a lot of money on mods and maintenance.
Work trouble, housing crisis, credit cards, casino gambling, several bad decisions, and my gf (who I live with) was laid off from her job (shes back working now), put me deep in a hole.

Everything went down hill fast, and of course my 328i decided to quit on me too, so I was forced to file bankruptcy.

My bankruptcy is all but cleared, and my savings account is booming.
I also got a raise today, everything is good. I've learned my lesson with credit cards and the trips to the casino.

Parts are on the way for my 328i and I plan DIY soon.
I bought the 335i because it had low miles, m-sport package, ect which is rare to find in my area for 500+ miles, especially for the price.
So far even though it broke down the dealer seems to be taking care of me, and I should be getting a nice repaired 335i sometime next week.

I personally prefer to buy from private owner/sale. When you know what to look for buying from individuals i think is the way to go.

Glad to hear it sounds like you have learned from past mistakes. I wish you the best in all honesty.

Please keep us posted with respect to the outcome of the current 335.

Would be my luck unfortunately.

They picked up the car 1/3/19.

The company financing the loan contacted Stan at BMW today.

The air bag recalls were fixed on Tuesday 1/8/19.

Stan said The car went back to the Ford Dealer 1/9/18.

Stan said the Ford Dealer did not mention anything about the check engine light. (did the ford dealer reset the codes before sending to bmw?)

Surely BMW would have checked if the light was on, that's why this part confuses me.

The company financing the loan contacted the Ford Dealer and they said the check engine light came back on and they sent it back to BMW today 1/10/19.

Stan at BMW will be looking at the car on Monday 1/14/19 from what I'm told.

Its been 8 days without my 335, 4 more days until BMW can actually diagnose the car, hoping I can get the car back sometime next week.

Next Friday would be over 2 weeks now.
