2009 e92 Pricing?
Looks like a bunch of you are ordering 09s so does anyone know the detailed pricing on base and options?

No. It's not released yet.

Based on what I've seen on this forum, we're all ordering with an understanding that we're going to pay xxx over invoice and the final price is TBD. I'm in that same boat, having placed my order for an LCI e90 just last week.

Get that in writing to be safe, that's how I ordered my '08 before '08 prices were known. Get the dealership to create a purchase agreement that lists all your options and then says XXX over '09 invoice price.

Why does this matter when you can walk away from the deal at any time? When I first ordered my e92, I did have everything in writing, signed a purchase agreement and everything. But since then, I changed my mind and have ordered an e90. I agreed to the e90 price over the phone and don't have anything in writing regarding that order (I do have a production number though). I don't see how having something in writing is going to protect you one way or another. If the dealer is out to screw you, they'll do so. Conversely, if there's an agreement in place and you're lucky enough to be dealing with an honest dealer (which I believe I am), then just proceed accordingly.

My dealer actually offered what PeterM1 suggests having my '09 options in writing with '08 pricing. I only asked them to annotate a "sold for $xxx over invoice" on the same document next to the "discount" line, which they quickly did without question. The same document includes a couple of dealer-installed options that my CA worked to get me much better pricing for as part of the whole deal as well.
I (unfortunately) deal with services contract language and all kinds of clients quite often in my job, so I'm more comfortable myself having the simple protection there to document our handshake -- more so in case the CA and/or GM are not there when the deal closes than anything else. I had no previous experience with BMW, the dealer, CA or GM before placing the order on my second visit to the dealership, so am actually amazed how loose the transaction is at this point in time compared to previous ordering experiences I've had with other auto manufacturers. I don't question their integrity and this is a really good start to hopefully a long relationship. I can certainly walk from this deal any time which is all good for me, but would honestly prefer not to start over at the back of the waiting line a couple months from now if something is wrong at delivery, when I already have a "first week of production position". It's why my CA knows I want to pop in and get a final listing printed from their system of what's actually on order before production begins in a couple of weeks. Some changes (like color, since they disco'd graphite which was my first choice, and they just picked a random color at order entry) were made via phone since my original configuration and I'll have to at least add a new Logic7 option it appears to keep the E93 335i '09 model closer to what I was expecting to receive based on '08 information. I want to be sure they have it right. I know I'm a little anal being so detailed some times, but at least for me, a little bit of prevention like this has saved disappointment and hassle in the past.

I put in my ED order initially with an "X$s over ED invoice" commitment but then did ask for a written confirmation of this which they did. If they are on the up and up they should not have a problem with this IMO.

The quick answer is nothing is final as of this morning from what I see on BMWUSA on down through the dealer network to me. Check out my two posts on E93 specifics (likely same for E92) http://www.e90post.com/forums/showpo...1&postcount=30. Only a couple of pretty good assumptions can be made from my perspective (iDrive 2.0 is on '09 E92/93 based on dealer training http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=163440 conducted earlier this month and Graphite as a color is not orderable), but there remain significant open switches such as if '09 E92/93 335i get the new 7-speed auto transmission in the USA (if it's available, does it replace the 6-speed or is it a different option at what cost), confirmation and price of Logic7 being an option in the new MY, overall pricing, and who knows what else.) Honestly, until BMWUSA does their official announcement, we're all trying to read between the lines and a lot of speculation is being done. I just hope the people at BMWUSA are putting in really long hours, worked the whole weekend again finalizing whatever they need to, and don't keep those of us with an early production date in suspense much longer with details needed to finalize our orders before the cutoff occurs some time next week. For me personally, what is occuring dribbling out information for everything except the E92/93 turns my new-to-the-brand owner excitement into increasing frustration as the days linger on.

Wishful thinking. The delay just means the Germans are taking the month of August off and heading to Nice or Monaco or wherever they go.
