Question, does the unit green light stays on all the time to show its working?
After install, still showing code p3106, wonder if the unit is off or something else is missing?

Just to ask the stupid question, did you clear codes after install? The code won't go away on its own even after install.

Once the car is warm, it should blink slowly on idle and faster as the rpms go up. I had the same problem and when I went to check one of the connections were loose. So just double check the connections

Amazon gives you an estimate even if there is no tracking number provided.

Ah. Didn't realize you ordered it from Amazon. I ordered mine directly from Area's website.

Where are you guys placing (securing) the unit after the install? Tying it onto the o2 sensor wire loom somewhere between the sensor and the plug, or elsewhere?

This is somewhat concerning. That's a code typically thrown when catless.

Is it throwing the CEL? Or just showing the code when scanning?

If the CEL is off, and all the readiness are done, you'll pass inspection despite a code appearing on a scan.

is the p3106 for "Cylinder 2 High Pressure Injector High Side Circuit Low" this would indicate an issue with the fuel injector circuit ?

Actually, it is

DTC P3106, BMW 110202, injector cylinder 2, low voltage side.

well, proof "autoclear" is not good, this code could have been trying to pop up for some time, it was simply getting cleared by the JB4

This is why I will be buying 2 more of these for my catless N54 instead of the cheaper method, so I can leave it in there and disable auto-clear.

I put some 2-sided tape on the bottom of mine and put it on top of the #6 ignition coil. Only have about 30 miles on it but seems fine...

that has nothing to do with the unit.

mine is coiled sitting next to the plugs you tap into. just taped down. it doesn't move once the shields are put back on. if your a no shields all motor showing kind of guy...you can try double sided tape....it will most likely wear away from heat over time.

key folks is secured connections. shrink wrap/heat wrap on the yellow wire that is cut. or you can can do that on all. i did splice with a good amount of wire twisted around each wire so they don't come loose. the wrap is just to prevent connections from touching at this point.

Actually, despite being labeled as injector related, it is a code that is associated with running a catless DP on these cars. Search around on here, thats out of cobbs mouth, and experiened by others.

again, no big deal unless it's throwing a cel

Just an FYI. I asked what P3106 was in the Cobb thread and got the following response from Cobb:

"Those are both codes for Catalyst efficiency (just reported in 2 different ways). If you're running a catless DP with anything less than Stage2, you will get these codes.

-Josh"

so P3106 is one of the expected codes for catless downpipes.

Quick question. Do you tap into the wires going towards the o2 or towards the dme?
