Speaker adapter rings
Hello everyone,
I was wondering if there was a market for the speaker adapter rings for the front speakers. I have a friend with a CNC machine that can make these in quantity for those who are interested. I already have the specs and have a design for the part. Thanks

One thing that people are looking for are adaptor/rings for speakers like DLS R4's they are very popular due to there efficiency but they are too deep for E90s without being pushed into the doors. I have started a thread on this on designing an adaptor, If you want to look into this as well feel free to chime in on my thread or here. Pros to using DLS R4's

Not sure yet, From what everyone says they sound great just off an MS8 ( 30w RMS ) there 94db sensitivity so very efficient.
Ill know soon trying to mock up a bolt in adapter as of now people only secure with dynamatt ( which works great ) but im hoping for a more permanent install. Nice! Def post up.

Update, my CnC guy is an idiot. I'm still working on these since I now own a nice set of Focal's that I want to install.

Once I get a set made and verify they fit, I'll let everyone know.

I don't think he meant it that way. Although I am fairly certain there are a few products that he sells that you do not have those sources for. Most specifically the perfect fit systems.

Ya I'm thinking about buying a cheap plastic cutting board and cutting it to size and fit to make some adapter rings. We will see how it goes, trying to make some for Rainbow components on my e92.

I think i have to add around 5-10mm to my adaptor so the morel is "pushed" towards the speaker grill. |

Nelson - Will he be able to make an adaptor for an E92 to enable a morel dotech to fit? It won't fit with a standard adaptor due to the slim doors.

Does anyone know the dimensions or spacing of the holes so we can create our own? I can find out after I take the door off but I'm trying to get things together so it's a one time shot. My speakers should be in next week.
Thanks! |
