Thumbs up RHO-Plate Tow Hook Mounting Kit. - $40 ONLY! -- Jump in on this GROUP BUY NOW

I missed the last group buy hosted by Massdrop for the RHO tow hook license plate mounting kit but its back on again and spreading the word.

depending on the number of people participating, the price will range from $40-55. so everyone hop in! either way, you're already saving money because MSRP is $60

Purchase it now and when the price drops because more people are participating, you will get automatic refund for the difference.

LINK http://massdrop.com/rho-plate-tow-ho...e-mounting-kit

RHO makes one of the flushest and nicest looking tow hook mounts with infinite amounts of adjustability.

** i am in no way affiliated with this GB but if mods want to delete the thread, by all means. I just see it as sharing a link on a good deal with the community.

I have had mine for 3 years and I like it. I don’t "love" it though. It has what I consider a design flaw. The bracket (and attached license plate) is attached to the tow hook post with a single centered screw. I have mine on the farthest right (as you face the car) attachment point to bring my plate as far left as possible.
The problem is that the weight of it is "cantilevered" quite far from that single screw and bumpy roads or a carwash (touchless) spray can cause it to rotate down. I have found it down as much as 45 degrees. So, I just pull it back up since the screw is not really loose and is on with a kind of lock washer. But it would keep falling. So naturally what I did was tighten the screw/bolt more. (it’s a #10 Allen head I think). It would still fall. So I kept tightening it, and tightening it. So much so that the aluminum mounting plate started to tear! I then put two more washers on either side of the plate to distribute the force and put a "split" lock washer on for more "grip".
It stays longer now, but it still rotates down slowly and randomly. I assume based on what roads I have recently driven on.

So, it looks great and I like it, but it has its issues. There is another version out there that has a 4 point locking collar on a half a ball arrangement that looks more secure. But that is $100 or more.

Caveat Emptor.

Thanks for the post buddy! I actually just messaged them to suggest another GB a few days back.

I almost bought it for $65 but I just couldn't justify the price so I went with a home depot jimmy rigged tow hook plate attachment for $8. Looks like I'll be upgrading the hobo rig soon

I'm in the same boat my man. I was thinking about switching to the 4 point one as well.

Honestly, I have no idea when they will ask for us to specify which model you have. There should be a choice when the group buy is over in 3 days.

its official.

the group buy is ON with 10 orders filled. I noticed there are 15 people watching this item. the price is getting even better!

About to order. Does anyone know which I will need? I have a 335, but it has the M3 replica front bumper on it. Do you need the M3 bracket or the stock one?

I think you will need the M3 one then since the M3 bumper probably protrudes a little bit further. 3 more orders until the group buy price drops to $50! WOO

I just received a reply from Massdrop about model specification.
"We will be emailing you about the application of your order before the group buy settles"

So far I got an email saying the group buy is on and they will be placing my order right away. How can they do that if they don't know what car I have lol. Looks like I gotta get in touch with them.

Gah. We were missing 1 person before the price drops from 55 to 50.

Whoever still wants to buy, please email mass drop and see if we can squeeze 1 more in before they process the orders
