Going to be cutting off the secondary cats and putting Vibrant SS 1790 Resonators in their place, during the next couple of weeks.

I currently have 335IS mufflers with the golf tee mod. & SS X pipe in place of the center resonator.

I am looking to get rid of some rasp, deepen the tone of the exhaust & perhaps reduce some Hwy. drone. From all accounts I think the 1790 resonators should do this. The nice thing about this deal is that it will reduce some back pressure from the turbos on my n54.

This is where I got them. I think it's the cheapest price on the net. 1790 is for OEM exhaust pipes, which are 2.25" in diameter. 1792 is for 2.5" in diameter, which will work. It's just the 1790 is an exact match.

I went with VSRF catless downpipes and also removed secondary cats and replaced them with 2 of Vibrant 1141 2.5" Ultra Quiet Resonators along with
2 Jones Exhaust Turbine Muffler / Resonator - 304 Stainless Steel - 2.5" to get rid of the droning inside my e92 335xi. I am very pleased with the results! I think I might have some pictures I took on my phone possibly.

FWIW you’re wrong on both counts, oem exhaust isn’t 2.25 or 2.5, it’s 60mm so pretty much smack in the middle.

If you can get a cold start & a warm start, that would be ideal. Just a suggestion.
