So the issue with the Xi is the fact that the struts in the front are sitting about 1 inch higher due to having to clear the front axles.
With this means that they had to make the strut travel 1 inch less, thus raising the car almost an inch in the front over the "i" models.
When you lower with the H&R springs you still get a rake in the front as most manufacturers WILL NOT go low enough to kill the rake as it would be riding on the bump stops literally!
The eibach pro kit almost gets rid of the rake but again this kit puts you on the bump stops.

I found a guy in California. His name is TC. He runs a suspension/race shop called TCKline Racing.
Not only do they make full coil over kits which are the best in the industry they offer 2 things that fix all the issues for the XI owners!

#1. The Koni Yellow adjustable front strut. They cut the strut top/body down 1-1.5 inches. YOU get to decide how much you want!! This lowers the car and adds strut travel at the same time!
I had my strut cut down 1 inch, and the perch that the spring sits on cut .5 inch raising it back up .5 inch. So that means I lowered the car .5 inch, and got .5 inch more travel.
With a eibach pro kit this is 2 inch drop in the front! So lets do the math.

lower with eibach pro kit. Travel lost = 1.5 inch. Then add the TCKline koni yellows, lower another .5 inch, get .5 inch back of travel! So at this point there is only 1 inch of travel lost. Now grab E36 M3 bump stops which are about .3-.5 inch shorter and softer while more progressive.

You now have a front end that is 2 inches lower, nice riding eibach springs, and almost the same strut travel as stock with a better bump stop and fully adjustable struts! The rake is GONE!!
TCKline also sells the only ON car adjustable rear koni yellows!!

Also the TCKline koni front struts have the sway bar mount lowered .5 inch as well as the factory spot is too high once its lowered it puts stress on the sway bar. So theres another huge advantage!

but how does the cost of all this compare to a set of coilovers..
i just bought a set of SonicTuning coilovers.. for the xi car.
$1000US shipped to Canada, I will have to deal with exchange rate and duties. so all in will be about $1300cdn.. at set of Kwv1 all in would have been over $1800cdn. so just went with the Sonics.

I thought the pro-kit drop was 1" in front for xi..? as well it looks like you have the SP perches added on there too right.?

Seems expensive, but awesome solution for a nice alternative to coils. Drop looks good.

not really news..and not really worth the investment when you can get coilovers that will bring the front down even further. TC kline makes quality product but as others have stated the xi has other options when it comes to lowering.

What I like about this is it gives another option before you go to coils, for a high-quality rebound adjustable shock, that addresses the main problem with lowering XI. And that is to lower and get rid of the rake you basically end up in front with not enough travel. This fixes that and hopefully the tendency to bottom out is gone.

I have to think about it, but if I decide to put any more money into my suspension I will either do these (already have the Konis on my car now) or bite the bullet and go for the full TC Kline XI coil-over kit.

Not a fan of cheap coil overs, or non adjustable shocks. Or cheap shocks for that matter. So choices have been very limited. Plus any shock no matter how good still had the travel problem. Nice option here.

The car rides like a fuckin dream! Softer than stock at soft setting and feels like coils at hardest setting. Just pure amazing!

Tckline charges $150 to adjust each strut! So it cost only $840 with shipping for both. Which includes the struts also.

You get to customize your drop and how much strut travel you want!

Also, there is ZERO gap in my dory fender maybe 1/8 inch. There is no rake. None whatsoever!

I have taken a ride in KW coils they ride fine. They are definitely not as soft as mine.

I'm not claiming to be sheriff. This is a great option for anyone who wants unbeatable comfort and price with a great warranty from a shop that has been doing BMW suspension for decades.

In fact turner Motorsports race cars use tckline a lot of the time.

Quick question. I have the bilstein Eibach kit on my car and even though I find it more comfortable than when I had my H&R's paired with the Bilsteins I still feel a crashing bang (front shocks bottoming out) when I hit certain bumps. Could I get the Koni shocks and pair them with the eibachs for my front and leave the Bilsteins in the rear? Since I have an E92 front rake is not an issue for me with my current setup.
