AAA Buying Program

Anyone use this no-haggle, low-price program? If so, was it your best deal?

Do you really think this program will work ? Would you be satisfied with the number AAA says or would you call a few dealers to see if you can beat it ?Do you think the Costco program is better than what a dealer will offer. These programs don't usually include new models,so I would check very carefully. We're not in the Costco program on BMW's,but we can usually beat their deals !

AAA can't get a discount on E92s in my area. I know, I tried. If anyone out there can knows of how to get any discount on an E93, let me know. Everyone I know is selling at MSRP or above.

I agree with you Irv..I did get some lower quotes than the AAA dealer but I also got some higher ones. I guess with BMW, it's definitly not your father's Oldsmobile.

AAA and Costco prices are not competitive for "hot" vehicles and their pricing sheets are not updated with the market. For example, I went to look for a 2007 Honda Civic Hybrid and AAA and Costco offered $200 below sticker. I managed to get it for $100 over invoice. Same sort-of senario with the purchase of our BMWs.

With the Internet being a Global Marketplace,it's not difficult to go outside of your box ( state) to secure better deals on almost anything you're looking for. Those programs through AAA,Costco,Sams Club and others are merely additional sales aids for the clubs and the dealers to offer additional benefits. For the people that don't want to use their time for shopping,it offers a benefit even though it might not be the best price,it delivers on the promise of no haggle.
