Lower That 17 YearOld's Car Reasonably!
Im looking to lower my car a bit more, I have a 2010 335XI. I want to get rid of the wheel gap. I Don't have enough for Coilovers in the 1000$ range, Any reccomendations? Shocks, Springs, ect. Please Post Pictures if you can and Names of shock and springs, and Cost.
I have pictures of my car in my build thread attached in my signature.

Basically any suspension lowering done correctly (struts and springs) will cost nearly 1k by the time you factor in bumpstops and alignment. More if you pay to have it installed. They only way to do it cheaper is to try to by used parts.

If you want someone to recommend springs only especially on the Xi it isn't a good idea. With how long the shock travel is on the Xi it will degrade the right quality significantly if you only swap all four springs.

Get rid of wheel gap asap, check tire rack, bavauto etc. For suspension setups, lots of sales going on right now, also cyber monday deals.

If you can't afford to do suspension the right way, don't do it. As others have said, only doing springs will ruin the ride quality and a simple spring/shock combo will go over $1k when factoring in $400 for install & alignment. Save up for a proper suspension setup or set your sights on other mods

XI's can just get some nonXI sport springs for cheap - there is a whole thread in the XI section
Look for D6 fronts and 335i Sedan or to go lower coupe rears

I believe your only option for XI is coilovers. Search the forsale threads and you might get lucky and find a used set for half the price. Thats the only inexpensive option I can think of, unless you want to go with fatter tires, but that might cost you more. Good Luck.
