wheel suggestions
Just traded in an '08 335xi and had the winter wheels/tires on it, so I have the OEM 7-spoke silver wheels mounted with Michelin sport tires, 225/40-18ZR front and 255/35-18ZR rear.
I now have a 340i, also with 18" wheels, but not tire size staggered, 225/45 Conti all-weather tires. So I could either , a) confirm offset and width compatibility of 335xi wheels on the 340i and have a winter set like I did with the 335 or, b) sell them. Opinions? |

Ideally my winter set ups are square. I recently purchased my 335i and I bought 19in 313M wheels before I bought the car. I'm going to be using the stock 18's, which are staggered, as my winter setup. I thought about selling them and going with a cheap 17in square setup, but I already have the stock 18's....I was forced to put brand new Summitomo all seasons on it to make the 1k mile drive home after purchase, just makes more sense to keep them and run them in the winters.

If the wheels fit the car, I would have them powder-coated in black and use them with sport tires in the summer and use the nice OEM wheels with all-season tires for the winter.
Anyone have a value for these wheels? For reference again, they are the 18" seven spoke wheels that I believe came with handling package on '08 335xi. Pics available on request. |
