Look on eBay for H&R springs, shouldŽnt cost more than 200euro and will really change the appearence of your car. Do it!

You'll get more responses in the suspension section.
Yes, modifying your suspension will void your suspension warranty as you're putting aftermarket parts on your vehicle. If you want to do it right, you need lowering springs and sport shocks. Or you can go with a full coilover setup which is a set of matched shocks and lowering springs that offers adjustability. |

in US, it won't void the warranty.
H&R springs is pretty good. take the H&R race for more drop.

Really? Who told you that wouldn't void your factory warranty? Asking honestly, not sarcastically. At the least, I would think it would void your suspension warranty and all things related...

But is not for the whole car. Let's say for example that you lower your car and then you complain that one of the suspension components is defective and you want it repaired under warranty, you're out of luck. But lets say, that you lower your car and your injectors need to be replaced (just as an example- kind of common among 335s). Unless the dealer can make a link between the lowering of the car and the injectors needing to be replaced, the work will be covered under warranty. As always, some dealerships are more lenient with mods than others. It would probably be best to contact the dealership and ask exactly what they allow and don't allow (obviously don't give them your name because they'll always keep an eye on your car when it comes in and they most likely will be looking for things. But if you really want more info on suspension mods, best bet is to post in the suspension forum. nice wheels.

The only way an aftermarket part will void your warranty is if they can prove that the part in question caused or attributed to damage or could cause damage. For example if you put aftermarket springs on your car and your fuel pump goes out they can't deny your warranty work for the fuel pump however if your shocks go out they can and will refuse to change them under warranty.

Thanks to you both. Not to threadjack :-)
I have an xi coupe and drive in NJ with some of the crappiest roads in the country so I am afraid to drop mine. The drivetrain is a huge concern as it already sits low under the car. Otherwise I would love to slap some coilovers. Anyone living in NJ or NY area with an xi coupe that can share experiences? |

+1 on crappy NJ roads. I literally wake up everyday and have the drop debate. I even bough KW Variant 1's only to stare at them in the box and never use them. I've never liked the gap with my 19's. I'm about 90% there on going with the H&R sports and Bilstein shock combo. It's a huge gamble - but I'm willing to take on the risk of potholes....
