Not sure which version the op is using but I don't find the idle very nice on V9. My car seems to vibrate more. When I switched back to V7 I couldn't believe how much nicer the idle was.
MHD V9. I did not notice the issue until Saturday, after replacing the PCV valve.
Strange. The cap of the pcv went fully back on correctly and did not crack or anything? I can't see the pcv valve effecting idle unless you had a vacuum leak somehow.
If all looks good you can just experiment by switching to V7 and see if idles any different.

Is your car an auto? Have you got or plan to get XHP?

No cracking, it's the aluminum upgrade. Cap went fully back and tightened nicely, did not over tighten.

Automatic. Not sure what XHP is.

XHP is to your transmission what MHD was to your engine. Considerably speeds up the shifting and cleans up the flare/mush that happens between gears on shift.

Strange. I would said your idle is unrelated to the PCV then.

You should google XHP for sure. Its a flasher just like MHD but its for your transmission. I personally went with stage 3 which is the most aggressive.
Speeds up shifts in D mode b 25% and s/m mode by 50%. The throttle blips are awesome. Pairs perfectly with MHD and there is even an option to select this when flashing MHD. It will transform your car along with your new tune.
Lots of custom options to adjust things exactly how you like them.

I also suggest doing this mod. Its easy and require no parts.
Swapping a few wires around allow you to make the left paddle down shift and the right paddle up shift. (vs OEM which each paddle does both)

I am up to $1000 in parts and such for the upgrades. I should have bought another boat

Cleared the codes, driven the car 2 times since, read the codes today, no codes. That, was odd.

One of the earlier mods I did, couldn't stand that horrible push to downshift a bed pull to upshift from either side system BMW came up with. Replaced those crappy plastic paddles with Billet ones from NRW.

Was my first mod too lol

Interesting I have never seen those paddles. I didn't know there was an option other than horrible glue on ones.
Do you have the V1 or V2? I dont mind the stock ones but those look way cooler. Do they Click nice?! Curious thanks!

I might be a very small minority here but I actually liked the push/pull as a function on a purely commute centric car. It made shifting super convinient with either hand, especially if your wheel happened to be turned.

NRW paddle clicks are satisfying as hell.

Here's a few pics from my install

I got the silver Billet ones with the paddle adapters, much better than the crappy plastic oem ones in my opinion, feel nice and cold yo the touch and when pulling.

There's a V2 version for Pre LCI and LCI models, I got the v1.

I didn't like the oem function, yes it can be handy if you want to drive 1 handed but it didn't feel natural and you had to shift thumb up and push the button to downshift, that was most annoying bit at least for me.

In my opinion, in a auto there should be no need to remove both hands of the wheel, especially if your pushing the car, and shifting should be done before or after turning the wheel, just like you would in a manual/stick.

100% agree with what you said. Any sort of focused driving (including actual cornering) should be done as you describe. But that's also why I made the distinction of a purely commute centric situations. The most immediate example I can think of is trying to turn through some intersections after the light turns green or pulling out of a driveway, etc. 1st is somewhat short and I'd occasionally find myself mid turn with my engine 3k. So i'd shift but the wheel is usually upside down or close to it at that point. I felt the OEM set up was more convenient here.

Full disclosure though, I put myself in these positions placing my car in manual mode 99% of the time. And the convenience the OEMs had for me wasnt enough to justify keeping them as the NRW swap ended upo being one of my first mods

Damn you for showing me these... Now im going to have to buy some V2 LCI ones lol. Color is a hard choice.
Was install pretty straight forward with the adapters, even after the first paddle wiring mod?

Their kits come with thorough instructions. The only "hard" part really is disassembling the OEM paddles since the NRWs use a piece of the OEM hardware to mount to the steering wheel

Haha, lol. Yeah it was pretty straight forward, just getting that cover on top of the pin off the old oem adapter was annoying, other than that was easy. I installed the paddles after doing the wiring mod. You only need to disconnect battery abd take the airbag off, which is dead easy, then two screws hold the adapters in place if I recall correctly, which can be accessed quite easily, just be careful pulling the clips.

Went with the silver ones, but red, carbon, black all look good.

After installing these, the stick on paddle extenders on other cars gonna look like a joke. lol

Cool thanks! I have never taken the airbag or airbag cover off before.
Tempted to get the V2 blue.
Yes those stick ons are ridiculous lol

The car is running GREAT! Staying at Stage 1 for now. It's been fun doing the work myself, thanks to everyone's advise/tips here.

I am noticing some black soot on the tips of the exhaust. I'll wipe it clean, go for a drive, it reappears. Any idea what this is?

I'd like to add burbles to my Stage 1; can I do that or do I have to go to Stage 2?

Thanks, how though? I plug in the MHD Wireless OBDII Wifi Flash Adapter, open up MHD on my phone, and then...??

Select your version and map. Then before you flash there is an options button. Go in there and adjust everything you like. Then flash.

But I already flashed Stage 1 without selecting burbles. Can I go back and just add burbles? Or do I have to reflash?
