Wheel Speed sensors - again

Simple Question, got ABS/ brake warning lights. Did a live test with my Foxwell and left rear speed sensor was dead - replaced it.
Next day same errors but live data said the right rear sensor was dead.
Ordered one and replaced it.
Drove about 1000 miles - same error again - live data says it is left front speed sensor.

So once a speed sensor dies do the rest of them die also??? Is this common?

Agree with 335dlci. how many miles? I've had both rear ones go out too.

my car has 101000 miles, replaced a front speed sensor quite a while ago and never had any more problems. Not sure which front sensor it was.
But now THREE sensors have died in less than 2000 miles???
This was a great car until I hit 95,000 now just one problem after another...

Sensor itself it quite robust by design.

The wheel bearings on the other hand develop corrosion on the outer surface and distort the square wave signal. In the process they damage the tip of sensor.

Replaced all 4 bearings at once in my case. About 12k km distance was between both rear sensors showing fault.

Thanks for the reply - I just changed the third sensor, it did not show any damage from contacting the collar. But the error did indicate the sensor was dead and I could not clear the cel.
After replacing the sensor, error came back but I was able to clear it.
Guess I will drive it for a while and see what happens.

It usually takes a little finagling to get the fault cleared. I clear it from the nav menus. Then i look in through Carly and sometimes it is still there. Carly is not a pro level tool but suffices in SOME cases.
