Also everyone I'm at a complete loss. I've finally installed the breather pipe. But guess what, now the oil return pipes connection broke! So I've decided to just connect it and put a hose clamp around it. One small problem. I still can't put the damn thing on there. Zero room and if I try to make room all of the sudden it's at the wrong angle or there's shit in the way. Absolutely the worst design of a manifold I've ever seen. I understand why they made it integrated in 07. Does anyone have any more tips for me? I'm really getting discouraged here. I'm not even sure heater hose or hydraulic line would make it any easier lol

Idk what to say because well my car doesn't have that setup. I suppose you're doing all this with the manifold at least unbolted off right? I'd do as nsjames suggested and change all that to rubber hoses. Once that engine starts up in the winter it'll melt any condensation that's there super quickly I'm sure.

Yep everything's unbolted, I'm sure shuffling it around as much as I have is the cause of it breaking. I think you're right. This time it's the return hose at least so I feel it isn't as crucial. Might take a trip to the hardware to store and see what I can come up with. Who knows, maybe I can get the heated coil mess onto the new hose even

I personally wouldn't feel secure with putting a heating element on a rubber hose because I think the stock pcv plastic hoses have a way higher melting point. I could be wrong but just weird paranoia lol

your average suction hose is good to 125c.
i haven't had the heating element installed on the rubber hose in 2 years and it's not been a problem. I could see it if all you did was 3 minute trips, but after the engine is warm it's going to be fine. The dealer even did the PCV heater recall with the rubber hose in place. I even have the single port early manifold. |

Got this aero package diffuser from the junkyard off of this e90. Shame the bumper had an inch diameter hole in the passenger side and well the trunk was shut so I couldn't get the bumper off. But at least I got the diffuser.
Maybe I'll sell it to someone that needs to complete their bumper or if it's the same part as the e92 I'll buy myself a bumper |

Actually the car does indeed have a keyhole however it is just a hole. The key cylinder is nowhere to be found. I pulled the center armrest and there was a hole through the plastic indicating to me they had to go through there and pull the emergency release in the trunk.
If anyone knows how to open it through the trunk without getting a coat hanger in the trunk through the backseat it'd be great. I'd go there with a power bank to try and power the latch but I think if they went to that extent the latch might have been bad. The coat hanger trick was what we had to do on a buddy's lci e92 when we disconnected the battery and closed the trunk. This was probably the finishing touch that got this e90 in the yard lol |

Other than putting a jump box to the jump terminals (worth a shot imo) the coat hanger to access the emergency release would be your best bet. If the seats are fold down with ski pass through you could take out the pass through get some sort of hook on the emergency release. Could maybe go as far as pulling the seat release for more access.
If not maybe go the extra mile to cut a larger hole with a hole saw?

Installed e46 tool kit on the e90 just to have it there.
Missing a few pieces tools.

The e90 didn’t have these clips and the position of the kit didn’t let me use the clips so I used self tapping screws. The screws look ugly so I didn’t get a picture of it closed. Once I use some factory looking screws, I’ll get a picture. The top of the kit has a plastic bolt that screws into a plastic clip on the e46. It snaps into the metal frame of the trunk. Again, the e90 has no provision for this and making an exact hold for that clip in the trunk would be difficult. I just cut a hole in my trunk carpet to slide the clip in through the back. The gap between the carpet and the trunk frame is big enough so the clip fits in there but small enough so it doesn’t fall out either. Also handy if your trunk is full of stuff and you can’t access the stock tool area.

I finally got my driver's mirror to fold correctly. Pin was seized. Thanks to YouTube for directions. Still trying to find a good passenger side mirror. Previous owner put an aftermarket one on with 5 pins. Doesn't work or have fold motor.

my e90 328i is base manual seats, non folding mirrors, with a tremendous help from a user I had to repin and run 2 wires and just coded VO $313 and now have power side mirrors. I have not planned to drill yet for the lube hole but i cleaned all the moving parts pretty good. auto dim works well to with the FLA rear view mirror i installed too

I'm also interested in the part number for this black leatherette steering wheel trim cover. I can't seem to find in anywhere online.

32300412944 or 32300412947 for black. 32300412945 or 32300412948 for gray. It is a lot of leatherette in 1 area, with the trim and airbag. I mainly have it on because of the rarity Quote:
This kit was pretty complete besides the whee pin, spark plug tool and tow hook and 1 wrench. I had the wheel pin just sitting in the trunk and now I have a slot for it! The other bits are about $8-10 online. I might order them just to complete the set. The e90 tow hook also doesn’t sit in there properly.

This may sound like I'm complaining but I'm definitely not. Today was finally an overcast day and a nice 22-23c instead of 30c ish so I was able to give my new-to-me car it's first good scrub... a two bucket wash including the door and trunk jambs as well as cleaning up the underside of the hood and along the inside of the front fenders and grill. It looks pretty damn good for a 12 year old car. I also gave all the interior leather a thorough cleaning and conditioning. As a bonus I found a small Swiss Army knife under the mat on the floor that was obviously left behind by the previous owner. It was a good day.
