Anyone else into his stuff? This dude was the realest and most interesting TV personality I've seen in quite a while. He passed away in the early 2000s and the world is slightly worse off with his loss.

Fred was a working class dude discovered by the BBC while climbing chimneys as his day job. He's known for his unusually down to earth perspective and always had an entertaining way of explaining whatever he was doing.

You can find on youtube several excellent shows the BBC made with him on a variety of themes including steam engines, victorian civil engineering, old skool coal mining, and other fascinating topics.
