Thats a good question. I'd imagine that if you left the male/female block unchecked it would flag somewhere and you'd get a call or a rejection response.

I think we have to look towards San Francisco where they are starting to look at all sorts of records and forms so that a "neutral" response can be made without penalty.

I know the public bathrooms down there are "neutral" (if you dare to use them).
