Thanks, man. That's the plan but if I find a buyer sooner, gone will be the car. Gonna install the M3 bumper to sell it with too.

I'd definitely be in if schedule allows.

Top realignment and some rear hub assembly work. Had some lug problems. They always give out excellent loaners but they were out so I got a Hertz impala.

LOL I feel you guy's pain ... mainstream cars are basic transportation, if that.

I have been on the road for three weeks - rental car list: Toyota Corolla, Dodge Avenger, Chevy HHR. My BMW has been driven less than 30 miles this month
When I got home last night, I to it.

----

Guys this morning I finished up my outstanding mods ... BMW Performance Pedals installed, they look awesome. Took 20 min.

But more importantly, I drove down to Alex@Helix Motorsports in Philadelphia. Him and Eric installed my BMW Performance Exhaust and did a modified CDV.

You should hear it now .... it's insane!!!

I am making a video.

CDV mod is nice, definitely no 'bump' anymore when shifting fast at higher RPMs. Also I am surprised how much easier it is to do a smooth start. The 'directness' takes some getting used to, I realized I subconsciously compensated for the CDV before and have to retrain myself.

I am right now!

Interesting!!!

Did you pick up the 'vert?

The Altima was !!

It had a CVT (you never feel the car shift) it drove me nuts!!!!
When it was at low RPM's it was susceptible to a low freq vibration!!!

The one thing I loved is it had a system similar to comfort access. After having it on my Bimmer I don't think I could own another car without it!!!

CDV hum?
I bought one several months ago. I have been debating about doing this mod!
Describe what you mean Charles, by the clutch being more "direct"

Thanks

CDV in our standard shift BMWs always connects the flywheel and the clutch disc at a constant speed, regardless how fast you leave off the clutch. So you can't control that ... and it leads to some 'bumpy' shifting. Noticeable when getting off 1st and when shifting fast at high speeds.

Not an expensive mod ... def. recommended. I have a modified CDV valve, which keeps the CDV valve but makes it non-functional (as in it no longer restricts the speed the clutch and flywheel engage) ... BMW can't tell.

PARTS FOR SALE:

Cusco OS Strut Bar - $245
BMS Dual Cone Intake $60
Ultimate Racing Charge Pipe w/ HKS Super Sequential Blow-Off Valve (1 Meth Bung) - $340
Raceland Down Pipes (E90/1/2/3, NO X's) - $150
Burger Motorsports Down Pipe Fix Version 3 (NEW) - $70

If your local and you scoop up 2+ items, we can negotiate some.

As you all know, I'm selling my car before I go to Afghanistan in November so the sooner I can get these parts gone, the better!

Also, I would love a hand getting my stock airbox and chargepipe back in, I tried once before and it was a swell pain in the ass.

I have ordered some new wheels ... BMW Performance Style 269 19"

Tires from the Tire Rack: Hankook Vetus V12 235/35/19 front, 265/30/19 rear. This is kinda noob but are tires+wheels all I need, or do I also need tubes? Sorry, only have installed tires on bikes before. I'm having a shop install everything, but I don't want them charging me for stuff I could have bought ahead of time and saved $$ on.

Edit: Btw, I'm going to have the TPMS transferred over from the current 193M rims, then use them for my winters.

No tubes. Save yourself the pita and just get a second set of tpms. Bavarian will set you up for $185 shipped.
