LOL, they're 8 inch subs i believe, part of the logic 7 package. I wouldnt upgrade those as they are specifically designed for the unique enclosure they are housed in.

Yup, those are the subs. As for upgrades, I'm sure it's possible.

not jsut for logic 7... it's standard on all US e90's. the subs are actually some weird 8.5 inch (not quite)... so it's difficult to replace. 8's would work if you made an adapter bracket/ring for it.

Can you see the sub under seat....or it is inside the seats?

I am not sure if mine has it?

Anyone has a photo of the sub under the seat?

It is underneath the seat in the floor. Move your seat as far back as it can go and you will see the black grille.

It's standard in the U.S. But in HK, you have to upgrade your sound system to get it, I believe.

When I bought my E90 (in HK), I was considering 323i or the 325i and ended up with the 325i because it has more options. Both models has the Professional RDS receiver with CD player and Trunk mounted 6-CD changer. But the 325i also has the Hi-fi loudspeaker system in its equipment list. When I ask the saleman, he didn't know a thing about the difference. So, I am still not sure if my E90 has 10 speakers or not.

RikuE90: I believe the standard system in the US on 325is is the Hi-Fi system (mid-grade BMW audio offering). It is a 10 speaker system (Front: 2 mid-range speakers, 2 tweeters, 2 subwoofers Rear: 2 mid-range and 2 tweeters). You should have this, peek under your front seats to locate your small subwoofers...

Logic 7 (Optional on the 325 and standard on the 330s) adds 2 more in the rear and a center speaker on the dash.

Another repost haha. But seriously. Why does everybody get so mad at ancient bumps? This is the first thing that pops up on google about this.

In my case my 328 I just bought I've realized the previous owner removed these under the seat which is a reason to be pissed. Obviously he did an upgrade and got rid of stocks and wanted to keep whatever he put down there.

But a good opportunity for an upgrade for me. Just added a sub and amp but don't want to same for fronts. I am trying to figure out what I can drop in. Ohm/watt wise etc.

If you're trying to use the stock amp then it depends what system you have. For logic 7 they are 4 ohm for hifi they are 2 ohm. If you have the base system you might as well use an aftermarket amp.
