I just got an email from the salesman I was dealing with at Beverly Hills BMW (no, not a phone call from the MANY messages left on his cell or office phone) ... apparently they are NOW willing to communicate after he read the negative feedback I left for their BS

"Hey Jim,

I apologize for the experience you had with us during this interaction. This is not the experience we try to provide our guests, in fact we strive to provide our guests with a world class experience. We dropped the ball on this one. The car is not available for sale. Your information was submitted electronically, and is 100% safe. We never actually ran the credit, because the availability of the car was never certain to me. I tried to make sure you were as informed as I was about this vehicle, but unfortunately I did not have much to relay. Believe me if there was a way I could have sold you the vehicle you would be driving it now. I noticed the negative review you posted online, and I find it to be inaccurate with how everything happened. Since I never had this car on my lot I could not be certain of its arrival or availability and did my best to make you aware of that. I would appreciate it if you would reconsider for that is a huge blow for my personal business. If there is anything I can do to help this situation please let me know. I do appreciate the opportunity to earn your business and will hope to work this out with you."

smh, 2 weeks after we last spoke ...

anyone side with him/them?
Completely ridiculous.

I will be posting negative feedback on those sites as well. It's pretty silly that the only way to get them to return calls/emails/texts is to post a complaint online.

I emailed their sales manager Matt Morris on 12/28 in addition to my other contacts with sales people and still haven't received a reply.

All it would take to pacify me (and others likely) is a simple "thanks for your interest but the car was sold, several sales people had interested customers and it went to someone else."

Having worked at a couple of dealerships, I've seen this situation happen before and it should be sales team that reaches out to the interested parties. Ignoring potential customers is not a good way to do business. They must be buried with foot traffic to brush off internet and phone pops.

the dealership replied today to the Yelp review I left for them:

"Comment from Monty of Beverly Hills BMW
Business Manager
1/5/2017 Hi Jim,
Thank you for calling our attention to the difficulty you have had getting in contact with us and the poor customer service you have received. We will be reaching out to you shortly in order to apologize and rectify this situation. We look forward to speaking with you.
-Your Beverly Hills BMW team"

What on earth can they do at this point? I was assured before Christmas that this was MY car ... and why on earth would they insist on filling out a credit app? I said I'd send them a deposit ... smh

I grabbed the 2011 from Beverly Hills. Its in transit to NH.

She is going to a loving home and replacing my 2001 RWD e46.

The dealership said there was a ton of interest. I offered to buy it the night it came on-line, I think the Wed before Christmas, they agreed and followed through. It must have been right when it was listed.

There is no frame damage...

brads2002 congrats! Glad it went to an enthusiast and not scooped up by another dealer to flip. Out of curiosity, where in NH are you? Nice to see there's other wagon enthusiasts in my neck of the woods.

Thank you so much! I have been looking for a long time.

I am in Bedford New Hampshire right outside of Manchester. I grew up in Andover and made the move over the border about 15 years back.

Glad to see it went to an enthusiast and not EAG or a flipper. The salesman texted me out of the blue saying they were having trouble smogging it last week and it still wasn't ready for sale.

Beverly Hills BMW or their parent company will never get a dime of my money.

They must have been keeping a little list just in case I didn't come through in the end. It was stuck in service for a bit as it needed a headlight replacement and had to be ordered. That was the only item they added to the bill (although it was a $1575 item). I had little room to argue...I knew there were backup buyers. I am sure it was just broken tabs and they agreed to send the old headlight with the car. Hopefully I can repair it and recoup some of the cost.

I am sorry to hear the frustration. There were a lot of sleepless nights for me too. They wouldnt take a deposit so i never really knew if it was mine. The guy I worked with was named AZ. If something similar comes up get him on the phone. He was easy to reach and kept to his word.

If I come across another I will make sure to post it here.

This guy seems straight. His name is Mitchell. I contacted him right before white came up. He was working on an e30 swap and is a VW tech. I would have been comfortable dealing with him from across the country.

When I bought mine earlier last year, I showed up at the seller's door within 3 hours he posted the for sale thread on this forum. He said he already had couple people called/emailed and want to see the car!

Enjoy the ride!! It's really clean!

Another one located in Vermont, might be gone but maybe not...

http://vermont.craigslist.org/cto/5952330662.html

A nicely optioned manual transmission 2008 E91 328xi. A bit overpriced but bring cash and get it done.

I was tempted to make the trip from NH over to VT to check it out, but it's just not enough pull to draw me away from my UrS6 Avant
